After installation when I try to start the dbxml console I see an error telling that zlibwapi.dll could not be found. It seems this was installed in the wrong directory, I found it in the root figaro directory (C:\Program Files\Endpoint Systems\Figaro 2.5) copying it into the bin directory allowed me to start the dbxml console.

The Figaro Developer Edition Licensing has been updated.
Developer Edition licensing is now a flat rate of $99 per license for DS, CDS, and TDS editions. Licenses can be used on both client and server machines, and come with a 21-day evaluation period. Discounted bulk licensing options are also available and posted in the licensing site.
All Visual Studio requirements have also been dropped. Sorry about that folks!

Its good that you're offering a developer edition but the visual studio must be running requirement is crap. With such a limitation it should be offered as a trial for free, and @ $300.00 you are actually joking right?

As version 2.5 nears completion, we'd like to take a minute to get a quick bit of feedback from the community to see what they think is the next most important feature needed for the release of Figaro. Let us know what you think!

Figaro XML Database Developer Edition is now available online for purchase at the Figaro licensing site. The Developer Edition gives .NET developers a low-cost machine license enabling them to develop .NET solutions using the Figro XML Database. Visual Studio is a key requirement in order to install and run the Figaro Developer Edition; all versions of Visual Studio are supported with the exception of the 2010 beta.
Pricing and more information is available at https://bdbxml.net/licensing.

SDK Updates and Notes

The SDK folder that comes with Figaro currently contains two major projects: - the source code for the Figaro.Web assembly (for the ASP.NET providers) - Figaro.Documentation.Examples zip folder
The latter is a project that was used to build samples during the course of building the product documentation. In the Figaro documentation, starting at the http://help.bdbxml.net/html/7c105d74-ec39-406a-99bf-0e0da1cfd87f.htm, you'll see a correlation between the code snippets and the project source code.
We've recently refreshed the SDK zip file with the following changes: - cleaned out some obsolete/old code tht was causing build/compile problems - added the missing xml sample data - created two projects - one for compiling with Figaro DS and CDS, and one that compiles under Figaro TDS - a README file
The updated Figaro.Documentation.Samples file is attached to this message.
If you see any discrepancies in the code, SDK, or product documentation, please don't hesitate to contact us and let us know what kind of problems you may be having.
